In the beginning....
In 19—Barry O Connor purchased Crows Nest, Victoria Cross. He made this his signature by immediately introducing his standards for excellent food and service. With comprehensive menus and a friendly atmosphere Crows Nest became one of Ireland’s top establishments and a landmark in Cork. Tragically in February 2003 as a result of a fire Crows Nest, Victoria Cross closed.
Lissarda
Not someone to sit on his laurels, in April 2004 Barry purchased Mai Fitzs pub in Lissarda, West Cork. With his magic touch this pub became an important part of the local community and the “stop off” for day trippers and tourists alike when they are travelling to West Cork and Kerry. A landmark had again been established and his food and drink service became a reason why people went west.
Rushbrooke
In 2007 Barry identified that the historic and picturesque Island of Cobh was deprived of an establishment that guaranteed great food in a unique atmosphere. By October 2008 Crows Nest, Rushbrooke opened its doors. With its mixture of modern and traditional elements of design, superior food at affordable prices Crows Nest, Rushbrooke is a favourite for all the family.
